Cedar Garden Room & Corner Glazing

A room that blurs the line between inside and out.

This client wanted a garden room that felt connected to the garden — not a shed with a window, but a genuine extension of their living space. We used western red cedar cladding on the exterior, which weathers beautifully in the Irish climate and needs no maintenance over time.

The corner glazing was the centrepiece of the brief. Full-height glass panels meet at the corner without a post, creating an uninterrupted view across the garden on two sides. Combined with full insulation and underfloor heating, the room is usable every day of the year.

We finished the exterior with composite decking, creating a seamless step-down from the room to the lawn. Perimeter lighting was wired into the deck to give the space presence in the evenings.
