Cedar Garden Room with Lounge & Bar

This Co. Dublin garden room was built to do more than one thing — and it does. The structure is clad in western red cedar with a flat anthracite fascia, anthracite French doors and matching windows. From the garden it looks sharp and considered. From the inside, it performs like a proper room.

The interior fit-out included a full lounge seating area, a custom bar with under-counter storage, a wall of shelving, and an integrated sauna. The brief was to get every square metre working — nothing wasted, nothing an afterthought. The bar counter has an under-counter fridge, and the shelving was built to spec for bottles and glasses. Lighting runs in layers: ambient, accent, and task, with dimmable strips behind the bar.

The structure is insulated to habitable-room standard — fully usable year-round. Completed in 7 weeks, including groundwork, structure, cladding, electrics and the full interior fit-out.
