Outdoor Design grew out of a straightforward observation: most homeowners who wanted to add a garden room, patio or outdoor structure had no idea who to trust. The market was full of companies that would promise the earth, sub out every trade, and leave the customer chasing someone to fix a list of snags six months later.
We built the business the opposite way. Every trade — groundworks, timber frame, electrics, plumbing, flooring, cladding — is handled by our own crew. One team on site from start to finish, one point of contact throughout, one final bill that matches the quote we gave at the beginning.
Over 100 builds later, that approach hasn't changed. We still visit every site in person before we quote. We still send the same team that built the room to fix anything that needs fixing. And we still answer the phone when a customer calls.

We visit your garden in person — no charge, no obligation. We'll take measurements, discuss your brief, look at access and suggest the best approach for your space.
Fixed Written Quote
You'll receive a detailed, itemised quote within a few days of the site visit. The price is fixed — no provisional sums, no hidden extras added at the end.
We Get to Work
Our team handles everything from groundworks to final finishing. One crew, one foreman, one timeline. We'll keep you updated throughout and respect your property and garden at every stage.
Turnkey Handover
When we hand over the keys, the job is done. Fully cleaned, all electrics tested and certified, any planting reinstated. We don't leave a snagging list behind us.

Concrete-Based Construction
Every garden room and outdoor structure sits on a properly poured concrete slab. No timber ground frames, no decking joists as a base. Concrete is what lasts.
All Trades In-House
Groundworks, timber frame, insulation, electrics, plumbing, flooring and cladding — all handled by our own team. No sub-contractors, no handoff problems, no gaps in accountability.
Fixed Prices, Fully Itemised
Our quotes are detailed and final. We don't use provisional sums or vague allowances. What we quote is what you pay — no surprises when the invoice arrives.
40-Year EPDM Roofing
Commercial-grade EPDM membrane, fully bonded and warranted. Not the cheapest option — but the one that keeps water out for decades without maintenance.
4–6 Week Build Time
Most builds complete in four to six weeks from groundworks to handover. We give you a realistic start date and stick to it. We don't overbook and we don't leave sites idle.
We Answer the Phone
After handover, if something needs attention, we come back. No arguments, no delay, no referral to a third party. We stand over our work because we built it ourselves.
